I was 15 when I became pregnant‚ I had baby girl when I was 16. I was a crown ward of children’s aid at the time of my pregnancy. I stayed at Grace Haven in Hamilton Ontario‚ until I gave birth at St. Joseph’s hospital in Hamilton. I then moved to Brantford Ontario with baby’s father‚ until Children’s Aid took custody. I couldn’t afford to take care of baby and Children’s aid was not going to help me keep baby via any extra money or food to raise baby. I signed my rights away in July of 2001.
