I am trying to help my ex sister-in-law (yes, she’s an ex, but we are very close and always have been). She had to give her baby girl up for adoption in Tulsa Oklahoma in 1969. The little girl was born on March 23rd or 26th, 1969 in St. Francis Hospital. A Dr. Dixon N. Burns was the OB at delivery. The adoption papers were signed in an attorney’s office. We suspect Dr. Burns arranged the adoption. Unfortunately, he is deceased. The father was not listed on the birth certificate. I called St. Francis and the hospital says records that old are destroyed. My sister-in law has been married for 45 years to the same man (not the father of the daughter we are searching for)and has 2 grown daughters and a grown son 6 grandchildren. She lives in Taylor, Texas, just outside Austin, where I live. I am doing this for her because I am the genealogy buff. We are waiting for the Ancestry DNA test results to see if we can find this baby girl through my online Ancestry.com family tree/DNA.
