I am looking for adoption information regarding my mother, Mildred Claire Carpenter, who is now deceased. Through ancestry.com DNA, I have found my 1st cousins do not match me, therefore, my mother had to be adopted. She was supposedly a twin her brother was Kenneth Dale Carpenter. I do not match his children either. I am looking for adoption records where my grandparents adopted her back in 1921 or 1922 to try to find out who my biological grandparents were. The only birth certificate she had was a delayed certificate of birth issued in 1972. She was supposedly born at home, on an oil lease, therefore, there was no doctor present.
