Looking for my Mom’s biological mother/family. She was born in Columbus, Ohio at St. Ann’s hospital (I believe) and was given to a Catholic foster/adoption agency. She was born on or around July 27th, 1963. Per my mom’s report she was only to be with her adoptive parents as a foster. My mom also reported that her biological mother kept going back and forth on her decision to have my mom returned to her custody or to sign over her rights. Eventually, (I’m assuming within the first few months of life) my maternal grandma became pregnant again and allowed my mom to be adopted. Her adopted name is Judith J. Joffre. I have also had my DNA tested through ancestrydotcom and found MANY 2nd cousins (possibly 1st cousins) that can really only be explained through my mom’s biological family, so I know that she had siblings. The family name could potentially be mcgonigle or similar.
