Michael Patrick McDermott adopted by TJ Thomas Joseph McDermott and Thelda McDermott of Mansfield, Ohio about 1940 He was adopted with an older sister, Germaine I am almost certain it was a Catholic adoption He was sent to reform school, Roosevelt Military Academy, in Illinois He married my mother, Beverlee Patricia Icenogle about 1957 in a Catholic service He enlisted in the Marine Corps about that time he served at Camp Pendleton for the next few years. They lived on the base for a while, but got into trouble and had to leave. They lived in Riverside In 1958, they had a son at base hospital, Thomas Joseph McDermott. He was premature and did not survive. He is buried in California. In 1959, I was born at the base hospital at Camp Pendleton, also premature. Nona Leigh McDermott I am not certain but I think my father’s service number was 1615312. There were two men by the same name, so this is either him or the other guy. My mother said he was discharged from the Marine Corps for psychiatric reasons His SAN may have been 276-34-4777. Again, it is possible this belongs to another man of the same name. I was told that my aunt heard he remarried and had 5 kids. I believe he is dead. I want to find anyone related to me by blood from his side of the family.
