My Father was adopted in 1940. His mother was living in Jamaica, Queens New York at the time she became pregnant. She was sent to Ohio to give birth and placed him for adoption in Ohio. She returned home to Queens, NY. I was able to obtain my father’s original adoption paperwork and birth certificate. It states there was another child born to his bio mother before him. It was at this time I discovered his adoptive father was the older half brother of his biological mother. He was never told this. I have since done a dna with Ancestry and discovered his father was of Puerto Rican decent. I am looking for any family specifically any sibling born after my father that his biological father may have had. His bio mother never had anymore children and had passed prior to her discovery. My close matches on Ancestry show a possible father name as Torres and a connection to Acevedo all Puerto Rico connections.
