i recently found out i have a half-brother. my dad fathered a child with his ex, betsy schmidt, that was born 9 months before i was born. Both my dad and betsy are from Columbus, Ohio, but it is my understanding that Betsy went to Cincinnati, Ohio to have the baby and place him up for adoption in September 1987 through a Catholic adoption agency there. My dad and Betsy had dated on and off for many years, prior to my dad and mom met. It is my understanding that betsy found out she was pregnant at the beginning of my parents’ relationship and that betsy had pleaded with my dad at the end of her pregnancy (and one month before my parents got married) I would like try to find him.
