I do not have much information about the adoption of my father-in-law. This is just what I have heard. His north mother was 16ish and was from a prominent family down south somewhere‚ maybe Florida. The man who got her pregnant was possibly in the military and left before she could tell him she was pregnant. She was sent to a home for unwed mothers. She had my father in law and then he was adopted by his parents. They are from Lima‚ Ohio but I’m not sure if that is where the adoption took place. I heard that she wanted him but her family wouldn’t allow it.We are hoping to find his birth parents for medical reasons‚ to let them know he has had a good life‚ genuine curiosity (on my part)‚ and hoping to reconnect.
