A baby girl was born on 6/6/1966 in Mansfield, Ohio, at the Mansfield General Hospital as it was known at that time. Time of birth was 1:06AM and she weighed 6#8oz. I was 17 years old at the time, living with my parents in Perrysville, Ohio. The baby’s father was from Mansfield, Ohio. I put her up for adoption because I felt, and hoped, that she would have a much better life than I could give her, which at that time was what many unwed mothers did. About a week or two after her birth her father and myself saw her, under the care of the Richland county adoptive(?) services, at the hospital where we had lab work done for paternity testing. I gave her a yellow floppy dog and a silver dollar at that time, which I hope that she received. The baby was born with an umbilical hernia, and a patch of white hair along her front hairline where there was no pigment in her skin.
