I would be Tara's grandaunt. Her grandmother‚ Kathy Bain‚ is my sister. However her mother‚ Rebecca Bain‚ was given up by Kathy and adopted by my parents and raised as my sister. Kathy and Becky reconciled as adults and Tara lived with Kathy a short period of time before adoption. I fostered her for a few weeks while some of the family issues leading to adoption were being worked out.
