My older sister, Mary Rae Wagner, passed away when I was very young. And now my parents have passed. In their records I found a reference to a child born to Mary Rae in the summer of 1965. Family rumor mill says she had a boy with red hair born on the fourth of July. How true this, I have no idea. What is known for sure is this: Mary Rae Wagner lived in Barrington, Il. She was born in 1942 and passed away in 1968. A tragic car accident. Her parents were Raymond and Mildred Wagner. Mary Rae was beautiful, tall with red hair and pale complexion. I, and several other family members, have had DNA testing through ancestry.com. You may be able to find us as direct relatives (aunt, cousin) through this wonderful new science. I actually helped another member find out who their real father is using DNA. Now I am hoping to find my missing nephew and maybe have a family reunion!
