I think I was given up under a false name. The woman who raised me said I wasn't hers and my father told me about a woman who wasn't able to keep her child ‚ so at birth she falsified the birth papers to act as the man's wife. Once she was released the man and his wife at the time took the baby girl home. I was told to never tell my mother I knew of the story.
