I’m unsure of my brother’s exact age or birthdate. I do know that he was born before me which was 1955. my mother‚ Eunice Marie long‚ was secretly dating the boy next door‚ Ralph Tyree. It was taboo back in those times for interracial couples to date. My mother was white and Ralph was black. Everything was kept quiet & hush hush . My mom went away to a home for unwed mothers in St Louis Missouri‚ arranged here in Toledo or Swanton by children’s bureau or Catholic charities. My mom and baby spent 30 days in the hospital due to jaundice & my mom being sick. They rode the bus back to Toledo together where someone from an agency intercepted baby from Mom at the bus stop.
