I had a counselor from Lutheran Social Services in Dayton‚ OH. I chose to find good‚ stable‚ educated parents for you and chose from about 6 profiles of couples desiring to adopt. I also chose to give up my firstborn at birth. Otherwise the heartbreak would be unbearable. The adoptive parents were at the hospital and were able to greet him in the nursery. On the 2nd or third day after birth‚ there were papers to sign. I learned that the adoptive parents named you Benjamin and when you had your first Christmas I received a picture of you from Audra Stella‚ my counselor at Lutheran Social Services. That was the only contact-of course I still have the picture‚ in my old Bible. I learned about a year later that you and your parents moved to Oregon. That was the last news I had of you. You went home from the hospital with a nice letter I wrote for you along with my Rosicrucian AMORC cross (necklace). I would love to hear from you. I currently live in Connecticut‚ Hartford. I’m hopeful that we will meet and/or talk with our cell phones one day. Also‚ 5 years after your birth‚ I had a daughter whom I raised as a single mother. When she was 30-something she called to ask me if I had ever had another child‚ a boy. She learned that she had a half-brother somewhere from a DNA site‚ Ancestry I think. Amazing! Much love I’m sending to you. I hope we’ll be in touch one day soon.
