I am looking for my fathers sibling born prior to him and listed. The biological mother is Dorothy Rita Casey born in 1922. Birth mother’s name is Dorothy Rita Casey (deceased). She gave birth to my father on September 1, 1940 and was 18 years old. According to his original birth certificate, there was another child born prior to my father and was still living. Birth Mother was living in Jamaica, Queens, New York at the time of my fathers birth but was sent to Lakewood Ohio to give birth. My father was born at Lakewood Hospital in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio. My father was adopted by the birth mother’s older half sibling Francis (Frank R. Casey and Emma Theresa Lloyd Casey). His birth mother returned to Jamaica Queens New York after my fathers birth and continued to live there until 1942 when she married Raymond Klitzke. Birth mother moved to Virginia for a time and in 1958 she settled in Merced, California. She and her husband remained in Merced until her death in 1990. Dorothy and Raymond never had children. Dorothy Rita Casey had ties to Maryland, Pennsylvania and Ohio. Her elder half sisters Cecilia and Mary Rohman were nurses in Jamaica, Queens, New York and work at Mary Immaculate Hospital in Jamaica, Queens, New York and may have volunteered at The New York Foundling Hospital. It is possible my fathers sibling was born at either hospital. The family was poor and may have had to turn to the Foundling Hospital for assistance with the sibling. I have made contact with the birth mothers niece whom she kept in contact with and she was not aware of any children. She has given me photos and as much information as possible. We want to find his sibling. This child could have been born sometime between 1934 and 1939. Looking for another child born to Dorothy Rita Casey. Update: There is a connection to Puerto Rico and a common name of Acevedo. Thank you, Therese Casey
