His given first and middle name at birth was Maxwell Stanley‚ though it was likely changed during the adoption process. As Dr. McInnis was a family friend of the adoptive couple‚ years later he offered my mother some comfort by suggesting that my brother may have attended a university in Nova Scotia and possibly achieved athletic success during that time (approximately 1988 to 1992‚ depending on the program and any gap years).
