My father was adopted to a family in Bottesford. His adopted name is Stephen James Parr. I am unsure if he is still alive as my parents divorced when i was about 1yr old. I was in contact with him from around 1995 to 2000‚ however i have had no contact with him since. I was told by my mum that he was born in Nottingham and this is where his adoption took place‚ i believe the adoption was when he was about 1 year old. I was told his birth name was Michael but this was changed to Stephen due to there already being a Michael in the Parr family. From hunting birth records i believe his birth name may have been Michael Beavis‚ however i could be totally wrong! I wish to find the names of his birth family so that i can see where this takes me with my family tree and to see how i am connected with the dna result matches i have got as currently its all something of a mystery!
