My Grandmother Dorothy Hamilton & her twin sister Agnes were born in Jan 1919 at The Belfast Midnight Mission, Belfast, Northern Ireland & were subsequently adopted to separate families. The girls found each other again in their 20’s, but they never managed to trace their birth mother Mary Hamilton. All we know about Mary is that she was from Newtownards, Co Down, Northern Ireland & she apparently had vivid red hair. We would love to trace anyone who may be Marys’ descendant or could know what happened to her. Dorothy was adopted by Jessie & James Peden, later married Eric Stables, moved to England, they had 5 children, 9 grandchildren & she passed away in 1991
