Hi my name is Elizabeth o’brien. I was born on December 22nd 1974 I believe in Northern Ireland but it might have been in the United States I’m not quite clear. The adoption was done by Catholic Charities so I have very few bits of information. I do know I spent 3 months in an orphanage possibly in Michigan until I was adopted by a couple from Waltham Massachusetts which is close to Boston. Their names werePaul& Elaine O’Brien but my mother’s maiden name is Murphy and I have been told her grandfather traveled to the United States with Joseph Kennedys father. Im well aware of the turmoils or should I say "TROUBLES" that were going on in 74. I have no animosity or feelings of abandonment Etc. However I fear that my biological mother could have suffered due to the Catholic Church practices on adoptions & many other single mother "homes ".
