Margaret A. Huddleston‚ born in Newcastle-upon-Tyne in 1939‚ was the youngest of 4 children (Maude L. b1926‚ Violet C. b1932 and Agnes M. b1935) born to James Leo and Agnes Huddleston (nee King). All I know of the children is their birth years‚ and FreeBMD listings for the months. James Leo Huddleston was sent to France with the BEF and went missing in June 1940‚ later to be presumed dead. His children were adopted and supposedly moved to Ireland from Newcastle-upon-Tyne. I can only assume that the adoption took place in the early 1940s because James wasn’t registered as deceased until 1946‚ but at that time his military pension went solely to his wife as there were no children listed.
