I have been doing genealogical research on my family. MyHeritage.com sent me a discovery of a family tree of a Michael Greenhalgh‚ born 17 July 1963 in Yorksshire (subsequently adopted‚ under what name I do not know) and he shows his birth mother‚ on his birth certificate Elaine Ann Greenhalgh‚ as Elaine Douglas with Robert Douglas and Cecily Douglas as her parents. Those are also my parents so‚ if the tree is accurate she is my sister or half sister. I was not aware of any sister or half sister but I suspect she was born late 1944 early 1945 during the war when my father was in India and my mother was in Co Durham. She was almost certainly then adopted. It would be good to know what happened and if I have a sister and nephew out there. My parents and other sisters are no longer alive. Thanks.
