I was legally adopted by my adopted Dad age 15/16 in order to obtain a passport. Prior to this I did not know he wasn’t my biological father. I believe my mum received maintenance from my birth father to this point. I recall going to a court (magistrates?) in Wetherby , Yorkshire for this to be approved. I have an old photo of my (late) Mum and this guy, but know little else. My birth certificate does not have his details.
