I am looking for my half-sister. Her biological father was Donald Mozingo, and her biological mother was Sandra Fay Frank at the time of birth. Her name is now Sandra Fay/Frank Harmon, and she is my mother. The last known name given to my half-sister was Cynthia Diane (no knowledge of the last name at this time). The facility where our mother gave birth was an "Unwed Mother’s Home" in Kinston, NC...which I believe is no longer standing. The documents regarding the adoption were sealed. It is worth noting that our mother, who was not suppose to see Cynthia, fed her for 3 days after birth before any of the nurses could be able to satiate the young, crying baby. It’s also worth noting that Cynthia was expected to be a small baby, around 6-7lbs but instead was a whopping 10-13lbs. Our mother was only 17/18 at the time of the birth. I was born quite a bit later in her life. Our mother is now 69 years of age, which would make Cynthia roughly 50-52 at the time of writing this. Her biological father was, by our mother’s account, not the best man in the world, and had told our mother to get an abortion and send him the bill. Thankfully, she didn’t listen. However, growing up in quite the abusive homelife, our mother also knew she couldn’t bring a baby into the turmoil she was forced to live in. She would want Cynthia to know that she gave her up in order to give her the best life possible, and hopes that she has been happy, successful, and had a full life. Above all else, I suppose our mother and I hope that, given her age, she is still alive. I hope to meet her one day. I’ll be 30 soon, and our mother will be 70. I hope against hope that our mother will be able to be reunited with her first-born before she leaves this world.
