My mom from Rocky Mount, NC was desperate to escape her emotionally abusive mom and shacked up with a man named Robert 12 years her senior. He abandon her when he learned she was pregnant. She tried to give my brother a better life by putting him up for adoption. It seems I have always longed for my older brother. I remember telling my mom that a big brother is what I wished I had more than anything and first learning that I had one. She told me how much she appreciated the family that adopted him and out of respect did not persue it further. My relationship with my mom has suffered from wanting to meet my brother more than anything. I have recently learned his name is Mike and he suffers from heart trouble maybe worse than my mom. I long to meet my five neices and nephews but She wont give me more information to connect with him. I think he lives in a northern state. I wish he knew how eager I am to meet him and his family. Even if he cannot forgive my mom, which if he knew her mom he should, I was not alive at the time so please dont reject me.
