I am trying to find out when my step brother was adopted or may have had a name change. He might be a legal heir to some property ! This is the info I have: Name: Bobby Barbee Coxe {now} Bobby C Bromby at birth. Name change happened in High school or College. My Fathers name was David Christopher Coxe and his wife was Vivian Barbee Coxe. This is mine and my sisters situation with this. We inherited a house from my mom and other sister passing away. Neither my sister or I have had anything to do with bobby for over 20 or more years. Because of NC Sibling law, he might still be entitled to part of the house. This is a slap in both of our faces considering that we all had disowned our father for many reasons. If he only had a name change, then he will not be entitled but if he was adopted at a certain age, he will still not be entitled. I do not at all wish any or hold any ill feelings toward Bobby but his mother and my father were very good at Manipulating people ! All we need is a definite date and we could greatly bring this to whatever the courts would conclude.
