My mother was in The Salvation Army Maternity Home, a home for unwed mothers and had a baby girl at Duke hospital Durham NC 3/28/1961. The baby may have been given the name Katherine Denise Batts before she was put up for adoption. My mother requested that she go to a Christian home that would be close to where she would be going back to live. She heard she was adopted by a family in Edgecombe County. This could be close to Rocky Mount, NC. The baby had either Dark brown or Dark Auburn. You have 1 sister and a brother and a sister who is deceased. I am not sure if my brother and sister are your whole or half. I would have be a half-sister. Our mother is now deceased from Alzheimer’s. I didn’t know about you for most of my life but if you see this and would like to meet me, I would like to meet you!
