I adopted a set of boy/girl twins out to give them a life that I couldn't afford. I wanted them to have access to schools and activities that I wouldn't be able to give them already taking care of 3 children under the age of 5. The twins dad had a sobriety issue and the decision was made between the 2 of us to do the best we could to give them a stable‚ happy life with access to their heritage and roots. We wanted them to be multilingual and be rich in their roots. Being around the people they would be related to‚ they wouldn't have been able to explore where they came from nor be close to a major part of their family due to toxicity and deception. The father and I wanted our children to have all of the tools in life they needed to be happy‚ functional‚ and successful. This man and I are married now and our children would be 18 now. It has been an open adoption and we have waited to be able to get to know them as the adults they have blossomed into.
