Male Adoptee searching for birth parents. My birth certificate shows my date of birth as 10/17/1969 (though I’ve heard that some States change the date of birth on the birth certificate to make it adoption searches more difficult. I’m certain that I was born in October, 1969 and have been told that I was born in/near Jacksonville, NC ("Near a large military base around Jacksonville"), though I don’t know if this is correct. I was 3 months old at the time of my adoption and was adopted in Durham County, NC. My adoptive parents and I relocated to Ohio shortly after my adoption.
