As I prepare to celebrate my 40th birthday in July‚ I think back on the beautiful daughter I gave birth to in December 2009 at a Novant Health Hospital in Huntersville‚ NC. I think of how communication was lost and distance created with the adoptive parents‚ The Latimers‚ then in Monroe‚ NC‚ as I finished my degree from North Carolina Central University and graduated in 2011. Thankfully‚ I took pictures of my daughter and I while in the hospital following her birth. My maiden name is F. McIlwain‚ and her birth father’s name is LeQuan Robinson. It may be easier to locate him first‚ as I don’t currently have an account on Facebook.
