My husband was adopted and we have two adult children that really need medical history ! From what we can remember when we got the non identifying information from the Lee county Sanford NC dept of human services DSS in 1989-1992 his mother was blonde hair blue eyes and father brown hair not sure on eyes! Mother was a young college student and father was military ! Maternal grandmother was a nurse and either mother or maternal grandmother played the organ in the church they attended! Right after being born he was placed into a home with someone but it could have been the birth family or members of the church we were told that cared for him til he was legally placed into his adopted family’s home as a foster child til the adoption was finalized! He stayed with the first family from birth til like five months old and when he was turned over to go live with his now adoptive parents (both are deceased now ) and they received in the blanket he was wrapped up in a handwritten letter stating Tim or Timmy aka my husband now adopted parents changed his name to Chris was on a certain schedule for feedings and alot about his likes and special needs! Hos nature as a newborn ECT was mentioned ! I have the name of the lawyer and Harrington is who handles the adoption part for the adoptive parents and the local Lee county DSS is who the state had handling the best interest of the child and the birth parents legal end of things. Our children have rare blood disorders as well as bone joint dieaeses that have lead to more blood issues as well as diabetes ! Also‚ my husband had several issues in life that was mental health concernsand educational delays due to them as we would like to know of they run in either of the birth family’s sides ! We are not sure if he was born at Central Carolina hospital or UNC as he was a small baby and had some issues with keeping certain formulas down and he had some developmental delays upon his adoptive parents being able to have short visits with him at the hospital and at the dss they were made aware of his struggles then. He was low birth weight but we were not sure if he was premature or not and he was long legged and tall for his gustational birth size ! Snow White blonde hair that was super curly as he got older but straight when an infant til about age three and big smile with big blue eyes ! Jimmy Love Sr was the acting attorney for the dss and therefore would have been the one to have handled all the paperwork signing and filing at the courthouse in Lee county ! His amended birth certificate is at Lee county courthouse not because the records were sealed his original was sent to state office of vital statistics we were told in Raleigh NC. The actual adoption paperwork and file was lost or burnt in a fire that took place some few years later after his birth a d adoption was finalized! Therefore we were told even if a judge ordered the case to be open to let him see what he legally could there is nothing but an original birth certificate he would have access to! Nothing more ! No other siblings were not. To either parent at the time that we know of and both were in their early twenties and not married just dating ! As far as we were told father knew of him and signed his rights away so the process of adoption could go as legally planned but we are unsure of he actually ever signed the original birth certificate! His adoptive parents names were (Bobby) Carl and Lillian aka pee wee her nick name ! He was there first adoption and there last.They had one other child biologically theirs together when he turned five !
