I was born in Gastonia‚ North Carolina in 2006. I was placed for adoption at birth by my birthmother‚ Brenda Burris. She told the agency that she had a baby girl about eight years before me who was also adopted. I don't know her name or exact age. They did say she was biracial (half Black half white) like me. We think it was an agency adoption and not through DSS because we have inquired of DSS now that I am 18 and they don't have records. My sister probably does not know that I exist‚ but maybe she will be looking for our birthmom and find me.
