My father was adopted in Buncombe County‚ Asheville‚ NC in 1950. He passed away in 1993 due to pancreatitis and diverticulitis and was Deaf. I am married and have three children and am in need of knowing more of our family’s health history as I have recently been diagnosed with some similar health issues as well. It would be so helpful knowing more information and where my family comes from. DNA Testing through AncestryDNA and 23andMe has shown the last names of Shepherd and McIntosh as possible family names.
