I am looking for my mother, who was born as Helen Laurence/Lawrence. She was an African American who was born to an unwed mother Aon 05/17/1932. She may have been born in Bronx or Brooklyn New York???? I am not sure if she was put in an orphanage or given to a relative to raise her. My mother died in 1985 and never, ever spoke of her past. All I know is that she was the first born of 8 children. Her biological mother remarried and did not want to be reminded of another man’s child. So my mother had half siblings.....I don’t know who they are, medical issues that are in my family, mental health and hereditary concerns that I would love to know about.
