I was born at Booth Memorial Hospital in Jamaica Queens on February 4,1965, to Janice Pridgen age 14 and Tony Bagby age 16. Both parents lived in the Bronx and Mt Vernon during their courtship. Janice was in a group foster home and they dreamed of running away together. Unfortunately,Tony was incarcerated at the time of my birth, and after his release later in the year, Janice had moved. In the meantime I was placed with Ray and Earnestine Aldridge, and was later adopted by them in 1976. Tony explained to me that he did see Janice again in Harlem NY, around 1968 or 1969. At that time, she was with another young man and had a second child, a boy ,who looked to be a toddler, named Irving. This coincides with information obtained by my brother, now known as Stanley Carey. Stanley was born in May of 1967, at Harlem Hospital. Ironically, Tony described the young man present in Harlem that day as “the spitting image of the now adult Stanley”.
