My name is Arlene Parrilla‚ my birth name is Arlene González. Was born on October 8‚ 1958 in Lincoln Hospital‚ Bronx New York. I remained in the hospital waiting for placement until November 7‚ 1958. I was transferred to a foster home at the New York Foundling. My birth mother was born in Puerto Rico‚ she was 17 when she gave birth. She was about five feet‚ slim‚ with black hair and brown eyes and an olive complexion. I think I look like her. She was in her third term in high school and studying to be beautician‚ when she was pregnant. She signed surrender on October 23‚ 1959. The adoption was finalized on March 1‚ 1961. My grandfather died on August 1958‚ two months before my birth and my grandmother knew about me the day I was born. My birth mother had six sisters‚ five of them younger than her. They believed that my birth mother was in the hospital for an appendectomy. She also had one married sister who had two children‚ ages 2 months and 2 years. Also she had a brother serving a sentence of two to five years. And a younger brother‚ about a year and a half died of an intestinal disorder in 1953. My birth mother lived with her sisters and mother in a crowded three room apartment. She met my alleged father at the place of her part-time employment. When she realized she was pregnant she informed my alleged father and asked him to married her. However‚ he refused and she never saw him again. She did not know where he lived since they would always meet on the job. My maternal grandmother was born in Puerto Rico and went to US with my grandfather.
