My name is Peggy Ann Stroman. 57 years ago, I was forced by my parents to give up my baby. My name was Peggy Ann Carpenter at that time. I was sent to a home for unwed mothers in Flushing NY. I gave birth to a baby girl. I named her Lisa, but that may have been changed. The Suffolk county child welfare department handled the adoption. I am mostly African American. I have never had another child. Lisa is my only one. I want her to know that I love her and I never wanted to go through with the adoption but I was very young and had no choice in the matter. God has been very good to me and I pray every day that He has done the same for her. I now live in North Carolina. Please, if you have any information, let me know. I thank you in advance.
