Hello my name is Janet Valentin. My adopted name is Bonano. I was born on 01/21/1982 in Brooklyn, New York at Brooklyn Jewish Hospital and Medical Center, before it merged with St. John’s Espiscopal Hospital to form Interfaith Medical Center. I was told my mom was 16 at the time she was pregnant and was suffering from Neurofibromatosis. My maternal grandmother was taking care of my sick mother and her other daughter and was unable to keep me. No information of my father was given. Louise Wiser Services was the foster agency that my mom gave me up to. I was told my birth mother’s last name was Perez, was officially adopted when I was 3 or 4 but was also told my case was a closed adoption. I am looking to find out the truth about my biological parent(s), if my birth mother is still alive and if I have any family members out there. I have 3 kids of my own and would love to know my family history, family medical conditions etc. Thank you!
