I am searching for my maternal birth grandmother, Catherine Spicer (sp?) or at least her records or sole information which may be helpful to me and my mother who was adopted out. My grandmother was admitted to a mental institution in 1957 which resulted in all the children she had going into foster care and being adopted out. My mothers adoption date was Oct 31, 1957. 10 months after she was born.
