Looking for my great grandmothers birth parents. My Great Grandmother was adopted by the Philias and Cadonie (Giroux) Fountain Some where between 1921 and 1930. She is listed in their home on the 1930 census. Her name was Adelaide Mary Fountain born April 13, 1921 in Troy NY. She believed her birth parents were Mary (Mahoney) and John O’keefe of Cambridge Massachusetts. Adelaide married once in 1940 to Charles Olley in Vermont. She married again in 1948 to Joseph Cichy also in Vermont. On her marriage record to Joseph Cichy she lists her parents as Mary Mahoney and John O’Keefe. Adelaide died Adelaide Cichy on July 9, 1994. and her social is xx5-14-42x0. I am guessing that when she was 21 she learned who her birth parents were and therefore listed that on her marriage document, but I am not sure.
