As I grow and mature I find it difficult to feel whole without knowing who I am. I am in search of my birth parents in order to know more about myself and where I come from. I know that I was born in Harlem Hospital on Feb. 22, 1987. My birth mother’s name is Juanita Jackson. I’ve been told that at the time she was heavily on drugs and that she was a prostitute and that my birth father was customer of hers. I didn’t have a name for a little but eventually she named me Isaiah Jackson. I stayed with her until I was about 2 years old on the streets and then one day she left me on a street corner in Harlem where the cops found me. I had a few foster homes until I was fostered by my adoptive parents and then eventually adopted by them. My name is now Eric Bradley Mitchell Isaiah I know that I have a few older siblings that I’ve never met that my maternal grandmother took care of but when I was born my grandmother didn’t have space for anymore children which is why my birth mother ended up keeping me for a little while. My adoptive parents also adopted two younger siblings that were also from my birth mother but they were adopted as babies so I don’t believe they were named by my birth mother. I also had a sibling that I used to visit with I know him as Scooter my case worker John used to take me to visit with him at a visitation center.
