My father‚ Terry Hancock Foreman (born March 12‚ 1943)‚ and a woman he was dating‚ Nancy Anne Pell (born January 22‚ 1942‚ deceased November 19‚ 2001)‚ gave birth to a boy named Ben Pell on November 29‚ 1965 at 10:27am at St. John's Hospital in Yonkers‚ NY. I only discovered this information while going through my father's house last week. He's been moved into a nursing home and my wife and I were cleaning out anything of import. I never knew of this pregnancy‚ birth‚ and adoption. Learning that I have a half-brother somewhere out there came as a bit of a shock and has led me to want to learn more and see if I can contact him‚ if he would be open to it. From the documentation I found‚ it appears he may have been adopted through Family Services of Westchester. A note says‚ "White Plains (records are now in Port Chester FSW main office)". I'm not sure what that means. This is all the information that I've been able to uncover so far.
