I am in search of my birth mother. She is Jewish as well as both of her parents. She spent the latter of her pregnancy at a home for unmarried women on Staten Island in 1959. She was unaware of her pregnancy when she ended her relationship with her boyfriend, who was about to go into the service. He was not a native of New York, and he was Protestant. He doesn’t know about me I don’t think. I was a premature baby, born on February 28,1959. My birth mother was 21 at the time of my birth, and she had a 14 yr old sister. She is described as being 5’ 3" tall and slender, with blue eyes and brown hair. I was adopted out of the Louise Wise Agency.
