My birth mother is from Trinidad. I believe she came to New York city in year of 1969. She lived with her Sister and Brother-in-Law in New York City and I believe they owned a store. I also believe my birth mother came from Trinidad to go to college. I am not quite sure about that. I was born on 2/14/1970 in Lennox Hospital. I was kept in the hospital for 6 weeks before the actual adoption took place. My birth mother wrote a letter to me and Spence -Chaphin sent me that letter about 10 years ago. My current name is Rashia Holmes but my birth mother was going to name me Mary Elizabeth. She said I looked like my birth grandmother.
