Here is some background: My adopted father, Durward L Jones, born July 29, 1929, (listed on my birth certificate), and my mother, Lillian T Gimino, born October 19, 1929, who in my recollection, spirited away from my biological father and DNA match, Walter Robert Harrison, born January 14, 1929, in the early-summer of 1960, I was 9-years-old. At some point, both Durward and Lillian Jones lived at my grandparents home, 134 W96th Street in New York City. At the time of my birth Durward Jones was in the Army serving in Korea in from about August 1950, and he remained in the Army until discharged in May 1952. My biological- birth father Walter Robert Harrison, was in the Air Force. He resided at 116 Vreeland Street in Clifton, NJ, and at the time of my birth, he may have been in Belgium, Japan and Biloxi, MS. I am seeking the pre-birth certificate documents and adoption records. After he returned from Korea, my birth certificate was reissued under my adoptive father’s name: Durward Lamar Jones, and my name on the birth certificate# 156-50-151356 (document No. J187875) is Anthony Joseph Jones. My mother’s maiden name is Lillian Theresa Gimino. I was born at Misericordia Hospital I believe it was on East 86th Street in New York City. At the time of my birth, my mother may or may not have been married. I possess circumstantial evidence that they may have been married in the Methodist Church in Clifton in 1948, and in the Clifton telephone directory, they were listed as husband and wife at the Vreeland Street address I mentioned above. Walter’s father, my grandfather, also lived there. There are pre-birth certificate and adoption documents showing my name as Anthony Joseph Gimino, and my biological-father may have been listed as Walter Robert Harrison. I also have anecdotal evidence that he had come to the hospital for a blood test. If it makes a difference all three of them passed away, Walter Robert Harrison, died in Pompton Lakes, NJ, in 2008 Durward L Jones, died in Tyler, Texas, in 2012, Lillian T Jones, died in Galveston, Texas, in 2013.
