Hello‚ My name is Catherine Roberts and I am trying to locate any information about my grandmother Lois E. LeMere. I believe she was born in NYC around 1918 on March 2. She was in the foster care system until roughly 1930 or so. She would have been either taken from her family or given up by them in the 1920’s. Her family was Romany/Gypsy and probably did not have a permanent address. She ended up in Illinois as a young girl most likely on the Orphan trains.
