I was born on August 15, 1965 in Southside Hospital in Islip, Long Island. The information I have received from the NY Adoption Registry notes that my birth mother was 36 years old at the time of my birth, had 4 children born prior to me + had had 1 stillborn child. Her occupation was reported as "maintenance." My birth father was listed as age 46, but deceased at my birth. As far as I know, my adoption was privately handled, presumable through a Dr. Malenoff (presumed spelling) from Brentwood, Long Island. If my birth mother were still alive, I would be thrilled to meet her. But I think the chances are better that one of my 4 siblings might still be alive. I do not know if they even know about me. If any of these facts sound familiar to anyone, it would mean so much to me to hear from them.
