While working on my family tree‚ I discovered that my great grandmother had given birth to a set of twin boys in 1916. I believe she gave birth at Sloan Hospital in New York‚ and that the boys were adopted out approximately nine months later in early 1917 to a family in Syracuse. I only know this from Newspaper clippings as the story was unusual and very sad. My mother never knew of this and I don’t believe my grandmother knew either‚ as the mother died in 1918. The newspapers called the boys Eddie and Freddie. I have done genetic testing through ancestry‚ however‚ it’s not easy to pinpoint a relative from that branch. Any suggestions welcome! Thank you!
