My mother recently passed away in December from a long battle with cancer and after she passed away I learned that my mother got pregnant in highschool and was forced by my grandfather to give her first child up for adoption even though she didn’t want to and it haunted her for the rest of her life. I had my suspicions all my life that I had a sibling born before me but my mother argued and denied it all my life.I also have a younger brother who is as eager to find our older sister or brother as I am. My older sibling was born in either the fall of 1971‚ 1972‚ 1973 or 1974 at St. Mary’s hospital Amsterdam NY with the birth name of Mihalik my mother’s name was Linda Mihalik and it was also a closed adoption handled by a local lawyer which will make my search even harder. I’m very sorry for the inaccuracy of the dates the passage of time has hindered my search. I am very sorry if this causes my sibling any pain and I would very much like to find my sister or brother and get to know her or him if she or he would like to get to know me and my younger brother for me this is worse than on my little brother because I have had dreams all my life that I had an older sister and I always knew in my heart that I did and even if she or he don’t want to get to know me and my younger brother it will hurt but at least we will know who each other are if I can find her or him.
