I am looking for my birth mother: Bernadette Mary Donoghue. I was born in Cold Spring, NY. My birth mother stayed at the Nazareth Life Center while pregnant, gave birth at Julia Butterfield Hospital, and pribably returned to Ireland. She said she was on a visit to the US when she discovered she was pregnant, where she remained until my birth to conceal the pregnancy from her family. She said she was 28 at the time of my birth, May 11, 1986, that she was Roman Catholic, that she had taken 2 years of college, and was an unemployed secretary. She said my birth father was also Irish, Catholic, and had died January 29, 1986 (although I have reason to believe he was a New Yorker and very much alive). I was adopted through the Catholic Home Bureau, and her social worker, now deceased, was a nun named Kathleen Howard.
