Private adoption. I was born at North Shore Hospital in Manhassett‚ NY. My pre-adoption birth certificate list my birth mother's name as Rosaria Saso who was 31 years old when I was born. My pre-adoption name was Louise Frances Saso (which was changed following my adoption). My birth mother mandated that I be adopted by a Catholic family. I left the hospital with my adoptive parents when I was 11 days old (3/21/1974). I have been told my birth aunt was present during this time and was the person who handed me over to my adoptive mother's aunt on that day.
